Some landscapes quietly become part of who we are. For me, the Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum at Silchester has been one of those places.
I first walked its ancient walls as a child and have returned throughout my life, camera in hand. Over the course of a year I set out to photograph this remarkable landscape through every season, recording not only its changing light but also the wildlife, trees and quiet details that reveal themselves only through time and patience.
